Blur your background or replace it with an image while you record with your webcam, or replace the background of a video you already recorded. You do not need a green screen.
Add a background while you record
Visual effects appear only in Webcam mode and work in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. In Safari the button is unavailable.
- Click the + button at the top of the left menu and choose Record Video.
- Choose Webcam, then click Continue.
- Click Visual effects in the bar at the bottom of the recorder.
- Choose Blur, or choose one of the preset images under Images.
- To use your own image, click Select image and choose the image you want.
- Click Close, then record as usual.
To turn the effect off, open Visual effects and choose No effects. OneMob keeps your last choice for your next recording in the same browser.
Replace the background after you record
- Open your Library.
- Select the video, then click Edit in the actions that appear.
- Open Background Replacement.
- Click Add image or video and choose the image or video to use as the new background.
- Choose how to replace the background:
- Green Screen Replacement: use this if you recorded in front of a green screen.
- AI-Powered Replacement: use this if you recorded without a green screen. OneMob detects you and replaces everything behind you.
- Click the arrow next to Save and check that Keep original in the Library is on if you want to keep the unedited video. It is on by default.
- Click Save.
What happens next
OneMob confirms that the video has been updated and processes the new background. With Keep original in the Library on, a copy of the original video is saved to your Library before it is overwritten, so you can try a different background later.
AI-Powered Replacement is available on Pro, Pro Max and Enterprise plans and during a free trial. On the Free plan, OneMob asks you to upgrade when you choose it. See Free, Pro, Enterprise license pricing.
